2 Week Film Workshop

    Who is it for?

     A focused series of practical workshops for those who would like to spend two weeks working in detail on screen acting technique.   If you want to significantly improve your chances at auditions for films, television dramas, sitcoms and commercials, these workshops can take you through a substantial learning experience in a short time.

    Methodology

    The curriculum draws on a wide spectrum of methodologies and subscribes to the notion that there are as many methodologies as practitioners, and that in order for an actor to be truly _BPL5220versatile, he or she must learn how to develop a flexible systematic process that is rooted in solid fundamentals and yet malleable enough to be responsive to the ever changing needs of the industry.

    The course is delivered in eleven days over a two week period and consists of classes in fundamentals of the craft; On-Camera Comedy, On- Camera Commercial, audition technique for camera, casting director workshop and show reel project.

    The courses are taught by highly qualified and currently working actors, directors and casting directors with years of professional film and television experience.

    2 Year Conservatory Program (AoS)

    Who is it for?

    This is comprehensive actor training for those who wish to engage in a systematic and focused practical program within an intimate and nurturing environment.  The successful candidate will be interested in fully embracing all courses and performance opportunities on offer with diligence and enthusiasm.

    Methodology

    The structure and content of our program facilitates a clear learning progression that can inspire confidence, trigger curiosity and unleash inventiveness.

    The program consists of six trimesters delivered over two years.   Instruction takes the form of studio classes, lectures, projects, workshops, rehearsals culminating in performances and Man in front of blank screenseminars.  Subjects covered include, but are not limited to: acting, voice, acting for the camera, movement, voice, script analysis, film art and craft, film production, audition technique, comedy, combat, commercials and professional development. You will be involved in the productions of a full length play, one act plays, an industry showcase and will also be provided with a professionally filmed and edited show reel.

    Classes combine the strengths of classical training with the vibrancy and innovations of contemporary practice. A detailed exploration of the actor’s process and in depth investigation of your internal and external resources is at the corner stone of our training.

    Various performance tasks will be followed by exercises and guidelines that will help improve the professional quality of the work and ensure effective application of technique.  You will be guided to develop the ability to perform with confidence on stage and before the camera and/or microphone, and be appropriately responsive to a variety of technical and directorial demands.
